Bugs, Problems, Limitations

  Known limitations currently include:

- SpecView SE doesn't scan inlying folders content (e.g.: the MRU folder is "screens" and it has inlying "games", "art" etc. folders; SpecView SE won't scan these inlying ones until you'll select them as MRUs);

- SpecView can't recognize Hobeta/SCL/TRD files stored inside the Hobeta/SCL/TRD/binary files.

  Known problems currently include:

- SpecView SE's "full-screen mode" feature does not deal properly with some virtual desktops (e. g., Matrox PowerDesk) if the "virtual" resolution is enabled (e. g. 1280x1024 desktop on a 800x600 screen);

- ACDSee v.2.41 will probably display BMPs created with SpecView SE improperly; other viewers seem to avoid this trouble;

- Windows95 users must note, that if SpecView SE's toolbar looks ugly or there are no buttons on it, they should update their COMCTL32.DLL library to the version 4.72.2106.4 or above;

- Windows NT/2000/XP compatibility was not tested;

- Windows emulators/environments (such as Wine for Linux) compatibility is a problem, too; (SpecView SE runs under Wine but it does not work there as well as under native Windows).

  Unfortunately, I have no time to test SpecView SE thoroughly. If you find any bugs in it, please report to webmaster@heaven.4all.cc
